Vivobarefoot Primus Trail Knit FG
BotyWeight: 270 gComfortable barefoot trail shoe with a knit upper.
Pros
- Sock-like knit upper — incredibly comfortable
- Fits even a high instep
- Wide toe box, zero drop, true barefoot feel
- Decent traction on firm ground (dry trails, dirt roads)
Cons
- Not waterproof — knit upper gets wet quickly
- For technical wet terrain, rather choose another model
Primus Trail Knit FG is a Vivobarefoot trail shoe with a knitted, sock-like upper and a more aggressive firm ground (FG) outsole. A wide toe box, zero-drop, and ultra-thin sole make this shoe feel like a second skin, providing traction on drier trails and dirt roads.
The inner knit upper adapts to the foot's shape, making it an excellent fit even for those with a higher instep, where regular barefoot models often pinch.
My verdict
Having personally experienced this model, I can only recommend it. It is suitable even for people with a higher instep, and thanks to the sock-like interior, the shoe is incredibly comfortable. For me, a clear choice for everyday trail running and all-day wear.
