About the brand
Vivobarefoot is a British barefoot shoe brand founded in 2012 by cousins Galahad and Asher Clark - the seventh generation of English shoemakers from the Clark family. The brand's philosophy is based on one idea: the human foot is a biomechanical marvel, and ordinary padded shoes damage it in the long run.
Each model is therefore wide, flat, and ultra-thin so that the foot can function as it should. Vivobarefoot now sells to more than 50 countries.
Sustainability
At Vivobarefoot, sustainability is not a marketing extra, but a business model. The brand is a certified B Corporation and publishes an annual Impact Report.
- ReVivo - a program for repairing and selling used shoes.
- Bio-based materials - algae, corn foam, recycled PET, vegetable-tanned leathers.
- Circular design - aiming to be fully renewable or recycled materials by 2030.
- Livebarefoot Fund - funds educational projects on foot health and regenerative agriculture.
Mission & values
Reconnect people with their own bodies and with nature - one step at a time.
